Author Guidelines

PASTECH (Proceedings of Automotive Science and Technology) is a peer-reviewed proceedings series publishing conference/symposium papers in automotive engineering and mobility technologies. PASTECH is published by the Automotive Engineers Association of Turkey (Türkiye Otomotiv Mühendisleri Derneği).

Publication Frequency and Language

  • Frequency: One issue per year

  • Languages: Turkish and English

Mandatory language rule:

  • For full-text papers written in Turkish, authors must also provide:
    English Title + Abstract + Keywords (mandatory)

  • For full-text papers written in English, Turkish title/abstract/keywords are not required.


Scope of Submissions

PASTECH accepts:

  • Original research proceeding papers (experimental / numerical / analytical / data-driven)

  • Applied engineering studies and industrial case studies

  • Comparative assessments and method/algorithm contributions

Note: The scope is not limited to the items listed above; accepted categories may also be announced based on the relevant event and editorial policy.


Submission Requirements

  • Submissions must be original, not previously published, and not under review elsewhere.

  • All authors must approve the submission and the final version.

  • Where applicable, required ethics approvals/permissions for human/animal data must be obtained and stated in the manuscript.

  • Conflicts of interest and funding information (if any) must be clearly disclosed.


Template and Formatting

  • Manuscripts must be prepared using the PASTECH Word Template.

  • Do not change the template’s font, size, line spacing, or margins.

  • Manuscripts must follow a single-column layout.

  • Sections and subsections must be numbered (e.g., 1., 1.1., 2., 2.1.).

Note: Detailed formatting and writing rules (headings, author information, figure/table placement, equation style, etc.) are defined step-by-step within the template file.


Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract length: 200–300 words

  • Keywords: At least four, alphabetical order, comma-separated


Figures, Tables, and Equations

  • Figures must be at least 300 dpi.

  • Black-and-white or color figures are acceptable.

  • Every figure and table must be cited in the text.

  • Equations must be numbered consecutively and cited as Eq. (1), etc.


Citations and References

  • In-text citations must use numbered square brackets: [1], [1, 2–5]

  • References must follow Vancouver style, including DOIs wherever available.

  • Reference lists relying on non-scholarly or inaccessible sources (webpages, blogs, commercial product pages, manuals, datasheets, etc.) are not accepted.


Final Checklist

Before submission, authors are recommended to:

  • Check full compliance with the template

  • Verify language and terminology (TR/EN)

  • Ensure figure/axis text readability (especially at 300 dpi)

  • Confirm all figures/tables are cited in the text

  • Ensure references are accessible, DOI-complete, and Vancouver-compliant
