This policy explains how PASTECH (Proceedings of Automotive Science and Technology) preserves published content for the long term, maintains ongoing access, and safeguards the integrity of the scholarly record.
PASTECH aims to securely store digital copies of all published articles and support the permanence of the publication record. Accordingly:
The Version of Record (final published version) is archived.
Archived files are stored in a manner that protects technical integrity.
Continuity of access and record integrity are actively considered.
The authoritative version is the Version of Record.
If changes are needed after publication, PASTECH may publish a Correction/Erratum or, where necessary, a Retraction.
Any post-publication notices are linked to the original record to preserve transparency.
PASTECH supports open access. Authors may deposit and share the published version of their article in:
Institutional repositories
Personal websites
Scholarly sharing platforms
When sharing, authors should:
Provide full bibliographic citation indicating publication in PASTECH,
Include page information and identifiers where available,
Comply with the applicable license terms (e.g., CC BY 4.0).
PASTECH aims to maintain consistent and accurate metadata (title, authors, abstracts, keywords, affiliations, etc.) to enhance discoverability and academic visibility.
Published items are archived in standard file formats that support accessibility and long-term preservation.
The Version of Record is not altered; required changes are handled through formal post-publication notices.
As a rule, PASTECH does not remove published content in order to preserve the scholarly record. Exceptions may apply only in cases such as:
Court orders,
Severe copyright infringement,
Personal data protection issues or clear, serious legal risk.
In such cases, access may be restricted following editorial and legal assessment. Where possible, the publication record remains visible together with a brief editorial note explaining the restriction.
PASTECH manages operational archiving and continuity measures, while authors remain responsible for the accuracy of content and the integrity of the research.
